The HousingDesk provides assistance for Rental Subsidy applications between 4.00 – 5.00 PM every working day. You will need to make an appointment so we can assist you more efficiently.

Call us on 0317-483143 or send an e-mail to for an appointment.

We help you to fill in the application form. The service for this application will cost 40,- euro, by cash. Future help will remain free of charge when you apply through HousingDesk, you only need to pay once. Sometimes the Belastingdienst (Tax Office) needs extra information before they grant you rental subsidy. We will help you with this process, for example when you need a translation of a letter, or if you want to cancel the subsidy when you move out. For the application you must meet these requirements:

1. You need to have a DigiD

2. You need to bring your rent contract (not your key-agreement) and a specification of the service costs.

3. You need to be registered at the Municipality

4. You need to stay on your address for at least 3 months. For shorter periods it is possible to get the subsidy, but it can also be rejected. (Mostly people have to pay back everything when they don’t respond to letters from the tax-office, this can happen if they leave the Netherlands and forget to inform the municipality about their new (foreign) address. However, when you move within the Netherlands, your new municipality will inform the tax-office of your address and you will receive your post there, as long as you respond to it (with our help), you can receive the rent-subsidy.)

5. You need a Dutch bank account and you need to pay the rent yourself. To be able to get the subsidy, the rent needs to be paid with an account that is in your own name. Preferably the Dutch bank account. If you don’t pay it yourself yet, change that ASAP.

If you didn’t apply through HousingDesk and you need help to change something, or you need to pay back money, you can make an appointment as well. Solving these problems takes longer and is a more complicated process, it might take several days and phone calls with the Belastingdienst. The assistance with these changes will cost 50,- euro. We will do our utmost to help you solving these issues.

So basically it’s best to do the full application through HousingDesk. It will only cost you 40,- euro once. If you started the application yourself and you face problems later on — investigation + further assistance will be 50,- euro.

Keep in mind that the HousingDesk can assist you with your application, but we can’t guarantee that the Belastingdienst Toeslagen will grant you the rent subsidy. In order to be able to receive rent subsidy you must meet the requirements of the Belastingdienst. You can find these requirements at, and at
